One sunny Friday afternoon the our team started talking about streaming movies. The topic of conversation led quickly to a shared frustration of having to search dozens of streaming services individually, just to find one movie to watch – in today’s day and age there has to be a better way, we thought, and there was not. So www.canistream.it was born to solve the movie streamer’s exasperation.
Home screen
The primary focus of CISI is our search engine. A search bar was strategically placed as a global element in the primary navigation, as data shows this element is what customers interacted with the most.
Search results
We first designed the search results screen to primarily show titles with no regard to availability. After a few rounds of user testing and feedback we implemented a user preference that allowed for setting subscriptions you currently had access to. This allowed users to quickly see if a specific title was available on their preferred streaming service.
Movie details
A detailed view of where to stream, rent, purchase titles. Users can set reminders for when titles become available. We even opened up each detail screen to showcase promoted availability creating a bidding war between services to be featured on certain titles.
